HIGHWATER ETHANOL ANNOUNCES EFFECTIVENESS AND PLANS FOR
ETHANOL PROJECT IN REDWOOD COUNTY, MINNESOTA
Lamberton, MN --April 8, 2007—Highwater Ethanol, LLC, a board of farmers, business people and individuals is effective as of April 5, 2007 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The group intends to build and operate a 50 million gallon per year dry mill corn-processing ethanol plant. The plant will be located on a 120-acre site near Lamberton, MN in Redwood County.
The ethanol plant is expected to process approximately 18 million bushels of local corn into 50 million gallons of fuel grade ethanol annually. The plant will also produce 160,000 tons of distiller’s grain, the principle co-product of the ethanol manufacturing process. The distiller’s grain will primarily be used for animal feed.
Brain Kletscher, President, is excited about the economic impact that an ethanol plant of this size will have on the local community. According to Brian, “We expect the local economy will benefit from an ethanol plant being built here. It will provide a one-time boost of dollars to the local economy during construction. It will create direct jobs as well as indirect jobs. We anticipate that it will increase the local economic base each year through direct local spending.
Highwater Ethanol, LLC has secured a letter of intent with Fagen, Inc., a Granite Falls, Minnesota company, for the construction of the plant. Fagen, Inc. is a proven leader in ethanol plant construction, building approximately 2/3 of the new gallons in the last five years.
